I was just reading several spec sheets for various 10w30's and 5w30's and noticed something curious. Pennzoil Conventional 10w30 list the volatility at 10.9. Could this be a typo? This seems unusually low, almost down in synthetic and high-mileage territory.
Is volatility alone a significant bench-mark for the quality of an oil (base oil and/or additives)?
The only other non-full-synthetic one i could find that was close was valvoline durablend which was 10.0. Most other dinos were in the low to mid teens (10w30 only). However many did not list it at all.
