While searching for Champ PH10063XL filters, I was directed to a local shop which carries the Parts Master WL610255X which I'd never seen before.
It's shares a similar number as a Wix filter but is made by Champ Labs. It uses a synthetic blend media, silicon ADBV, and a yellow Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) gasket. The box says it is rated 99% at 20 microns(ISO 4548-12 Multipass). $9.64 after tax from Auto Value.

Looks like the ADBV is black - seen through the baseplate hole at 5 o'clock. Does it say the ADBV is silicone on the box? I doubt it is unless a burn test was done to prove it's actually silicone.

Says “Silicone” on Parts Master website and “synthetic silicone materials” on the box.

I wonder why the E Core tube isn’t used. Other than that, it looks like another quality Champ Labs filter.

oooo a yellow gasket :D

Someone on here will do the burn test :sneaky:

Not sure. I have some Champ PH10063XL (Jun and Sep 22 date codes) that are metal core/louver and some Champ PH2867XL that are E-Core but they both have an orange colored ADBV.

Probably a clone of the XL filters sold under various names that Champ makes.

One of the Napa's closed years ago and an autovaluebumpertobumper took over the building. Might have to step in next time I drive by.

Those louvers look 100X better than the ones in a couple WIX filters I looked at Monday (don't worry, I was grabbing some Microgard Select Filters to replace the WIX I had to use this OCI). At least 1/3 of them were nearly-closed or closed completely in both filters I looked in. Something I never knew to look for or worry about until discovering BITOG.

As mentioned, interesting not an ecore. Another Champ Labs made filter posted here not too long ago also had auxiliary baseplate and metal core with louvers. I remember because I made a similar comment. Found it, it's a CQ linked below.*

As for black adbv, obviously I'll go with it being nitrile. ;) Same parent/owner as Fram with black nitrile adbv.

I returned an AZ stp extended filter that looked similar. COO USA. Black gasket with silicone adbv. Not a fan of the louvers though.
