palm polisher strong enough to remove scratches?

Option 2. Replace the grease and turn the body 90° and you've got a decent DA.

Option 1 won't get you anywhere.

Edit: M105 will likely need some refining - either from a polish like M205 or an AIO.

As rooflessVW states get the DA, I have the HF DA, works fine. You can usually find it on sale for $49.99 or get a discount coupon. I paid the full $69.99 and have more then got my moneys worth.

Option 2 as already stated. Watch a few youtube videos on how to use it if you haven't used one before. You have to keep them moving.

I like the palm polisher for very light polishing and wax removal.

However, it basically vibrates. The pad is not directly driven. Doubt it will remove significant scratches or surface blemishes.

I use that HF palm polisher! It works great! For waxing. Even cleaner wax. Leaves a nice finish on good condition paint IMHO (with the right pads). Haven't noticed any effect on scratches, although maybe some minor swirl improvements. Not a durable heavy use item.

rooflessVW, why turn the body 90 degrees on the DA?

So the switch is on top instead of the side. Much more ergonomic.
