P0121 TPS pending code and losing 12V low reference ground to ECM. lntermittent high ldle and late shift issue.

So the isle-56500 is still $11.16. I thought the one for the GM TPS was that round one I linked to, but it's not.
The GM TPS is a Metri pack 150, uses the thin 0.050" wide flat blade.

thanks for that info about the terminal tool deal and good that you found out what the GM TPS sizing was.. cool!! I'll have to do some digging to find out what the 2006 2az-fe coil pack connectors are on the Scion tC are..

Yeah, there is so much out there, you have to sometimes find it a bit at a time.
I can't seem to keep on this car ATM. Now last night the pass. window wouldn't go up. Had to pull it up.
Just going to CLEAR Gorilla packing tape, tape it up for the winter. Mess with that in the spring.
Plus I have plugs and wires for it, Gas filter, 02 sensor, front bearing hubs, ATF Kit and shift kit, and more I can't think of.

ya build up special tools one at a time, I agree.

Ok onto your car, it's ironic you're going down the path I've already traveled with the Civic! Had the same exact problem with the power window, mine was driver's side. It could go down but the window motor would not move the glass up. Solution? Besides the taping of the window (did that too temporarily), the ground wire in the door jam was old, it finally frayed from open/closing the door over the years. Replaced the ground wire for the window motor and bam! window motor works again! I still want to replace the stock window motor, it's always been slow.. but it does work now.. It wasn't the window switch or the window motor, just a bad ground.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Very Very Common! Especially drivers side door!!
Lol Lots of folks overlook the ground........................lol power power power power, It has power.....Checked it with a test light -- lead at Battery NEGETIVE, and some don't understand sometimes say with a switch itself, or the relay that was just commanded, was commanded by, or the reaction or duty of that relay the switch just commanded, is to throw a ground somewhere.

oh so you already know it could be the ground in the door? well that's cool then, thought I'd mention it. At least others who read this with an older car will know what to look at first to fix the problem..

No....................... I was just saying in general. No it tried to go up, but it just made noise. Makes noise trying up and down. Motor seems OK. Maybe the regulator, but hopefully the 2 clips that are glued to the window and bolt up to the regulator are just broken.

oh ok.. I made the mistake of seeing what happened to mine as if it was yours, but yours makes noise going up.. right, so it is getting power. Mine was just silent, nothing when trying to go up. Maybe its just the plastic clips, kind of par for the course with the age of our cars! Something we just gotta get used to.

to let you know about the pin removal tool, found out the reason I kept thinking it was easy (and used a screwdriver) because the Toyota (Scion for me) pin is removed with a small flat blade precision screw driver, that's why I can't find any tools! Saw a video where you just push a tab for each pin, bam! pin comes out. That's it! I just got a nice new precision screwdriver set from Harbor Freight! Got them for $5, 6 piece set, not bad at all. I just have to see when I do the valve cover gasket if those coil pack connectors are brittle, if not I'll just keep the plastic housing connectors on hand..

Did ya happen to check out the $$$$'s at...........................
https://www.customconnectorkits.com/

I paid ~ 74 cents each for the TPS terminal's at Godaca.com............30 cents each at customerconnectorkits.com

And side note WRT "you thinking I meant this, or me thinking you meant that"
I HAVE found that I tend to cause confusion. (Thought it was the rest of the world, but found out I'm pretty sure it's me} :p

Didn't try to release the TPS terminals yet, did my 880-fog light socket with it, pretty slick, the two skinny prongs on the lisle tool actually index the location. I'll show it in a bit, later this evening. That customconnectorkit site shipped quick too!

Thank You! I always took longer in order to do a clean job. I hate to see guys just slap things together any old way.
I extended the Fog Light pig tail to give me more wire to work with in the future if needed.
