Hey all. I'm sure someone must know this; what models of Hondas can we scoop oil filters from to get oversize filters for Civics? Mines a '99 hatchback with a D16 motor. I'm pretty sure it should use the same as earlier d-series engines but I would like to be sure.

Many thanks,

Greg

They use the same base dimensions, but depending on the brand they use several different filters.

Good info, thanks all.

I looked up the list of vehicles that the 51334 fits....quite a few including S-10 Chevs!

Purolator filters are hard to come by in my city (Calgary) but NAPA sells Wix filters.

I'll do a search on here to see if I can find and oversized one for my application.

Thanks again

Greg

If you go with Wix have a look at the 51344 also. It has 192sq in of media while the 51334 has 134sq in.
However, I will use the Pure One 24458 with 198sq in as soon as I can find some. It filters down to a lower micron than Wix does.
