Are oversized filters worth it?

That is very interesting. They have the same bypass settings and media type too?

This has me wondering how my Jeep would act with an FL1A as opposed to the FL400S.

Maybe its just the scientist in me, but I would like to see if the observation repeats. CapitalTruck seems to have everything in place to inexpensively switch back to the larger filter, add a little make-up oil and see if the noise comes back. I believe the story is truthful, but it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Yeah - see my comments in that regard as well in the other thread.

Most of the stuff that goes on here is anecdotal because no one bothers to validate the criteria back-to-back such as in "RedX" root cause analysis.
