I've never tried this stuff before, but my local ACO hardware had this on sale for $3.49 a qt. Says it meets the SM service code. Thought for the price what the heck. Anyone have opinions or experience with this stuff?

Isn't that the 5W-20 that's the thinnest "legal" to called a 20 wt? Or am I thinking of the dino version?

How can Pitt Penn be bad oil? It says "Quality" right on the label...(kind of like some filters that say "excellent filtration.")

Not Pitt Penn, Wolf's Head is made by Amalie based out of Florida...

Was wolfs head a poor cousin to Pennzoil at one point - the jobber brand? So Amalie bought it?

I do believe it was owned by Pennzoil, now SOPUS has all the QS Pennz under one tent, and they regarded Wolf's Head as "not important" to the overall product lines. Amalie wanted the name to bring it back so they happily bought it from SOPUS, who happily sold it.
That's the story I heard.
