Did some searching on this and didn’t see much mentioned, but knowing that the Driven DT40 is the go to for Porsche 997’s, I thought I’d see what they had to offer for my 1979 Ford 400. They suggested the GP-1 15w40. Any thoughts on this oil?

I don't see it as that special and their Pennsylvania crude thing looks gimmicky to me. I'd rather use M1 15w-50 racing which you can get a 5 quart jug of at walmart for the price of 2 quarts of that. But I'd use delvac extreme, delo xsp, and valvoline full syn 15w-40 as well.

I don't see the engine going wrong with Euro oil either so those can be used too. Ford spec'd regular api 10w-30 which probably was 2.9 hths and then sheared to less in a few hundred miles so it's not hard to match or exceed that requirement.
