Over priced. I would seek other options. An orange can is better rated for around the same price.

Nothing wrong with that filter… If it’s made by Premium Guard then it’s good.

Get that filter with a 5 qt container of oil from AZ combo list. It actually isn’t that bad of a deal all things considered.
Thanks

Like others mentioned Premium Guard made!! Advanced Auto also has Car Quest Premium 10k filter made by Premium Guard for ~$6. Plus online usually has additional 10% off.

Morning disaster. For some reason, 11 of the NAPA FS bottles I just bought were seeping. The box was completely wet and major clean-up needed. Returned them all and just went with the FRAM FS/FRAM Force combo...

The filter is tested 20+ microns/99%/15k mi

If it is a Premium Guard supplied filter, it will have the correct bypass valve pressure for a Subaru unlike the orange can.

Not all STP filters are Premium Guard, Champ seems to be another supplier... and it is not clear how AutoZone handles applications where their suppliers spec a different part number and specifications.

Also $5.79 is a fairly reasonable price. Sure you find these cheaper online or could save a few bucks at Wal-Mart, but parts stores have a higher cost of doing business. We need them to stick around since we can get many parts that Wal-Mart will never carry same day or next day without shipping charges.

Now the country of origin for many Premium Guard filters is not ideal, but at the same time spending over $10 on a WIX isn't necessarily going to get you something made here either, nor is the quality guaranteed to be any better.
