Ooops, too thin? Q TorquePower question.

Hey everyone, I'm a poor college student and I when I was at the parts store I saw "Q TorquePower" 5w20 full-syn on sale for $2.48 a quart. I normaly pay $5 or $6 something for Valvoline Maxlife full-syn 5w30 unless I'm really poor and I buy motorcraft, so I picked up 5 quarts. When I got it back to my place however, I noticed it seems water thin. Is it just me, or is this really thinner? I'm scared to use it, my car, 98 towncar , usually gets 5w30 which seems 3x thicker than this, this also seems thinner than motorcraft 5w20. The bottle states it meets Ford WSS-MC2-930A, & some other stuff, but I would like people's opinion. Anyone ran it or have much experience with it? At this point I'm tempted to return it.

You're fine. 5W20 can seem "water thin" especially in warmer ambient temps. I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Don't dog the motorcraft oil, it actually shows to be a very good performer here. If you are on a budget, I would seriously consider it. It's a fine oil.

Any people have other suggestions for the budget minded?

Yea, it's just fine to use. Don't you have a 4.6L in the Lincoln? That should be back spec'd for the 5w20.
