Royal purple HPS 5w30. Just to get a rise out of the latest and greatest crowd.
The Royal Purple HPS is a very good oil,and so is the API stuff.Royal purple HPS 5w30. Just to get a rise out of the latest and greatest crowd.
My Hyundai 2.4L DI engine can beat the crap out of oil with a 4K OCI … If I had a nice MPI engine easier on oil I might consider running ST synthetic oil .For a 4K OCI, Supertech 5W-30.
This brings back memories of the commercials on television. Dang...One bottle of slick 50!
What is your typical OCI on these?I have a 2020 Tundra a 2014 4Runner and a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe.. I run 5w30 in all
Of them. I do switch brands now and again. I have run Mobil1, Quacker State, Pennzoil, I just picked up Valvoline.. but I run 5w30 In them all. My last Tundra had 191,000 on it the 4Runner has 130,00.. they are doing fine with out 0w20. I am in New Jersey it does get cold .
You are right on. 5w-30 for sure.2011 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi: calls for 5w-20
2020 Ford Mustang 5.0 Coyote: calls for 5w-20
2023 Ford F350 7.3 Godzilla: calls for 5w-30
I would like to consolidate to one engine oil for all three vehicles. My studying here leads me to believe that a 5w-30 engine oil would be safe in all three.
With your OCI - Redline 5w30 or Motul 300v would be my two. FCP Euro it if price is a concern.2011 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi: calls for 5w-20

I am not dead set on 5w-30.
I have always used Amsoil SS in the past and it has never let me down.
I am very interested in the HPL PPPCMO line as well.
I tend to run 3-4000 mile OCI or once a year whichever comes first.
I have no problem with changing a premium oil before it is at the end of its life.

Thanks!
