One of my home nurses has 35,000 miles on her oil change!

This is downfall IMO of no yearly state inspections….

Even the most neglectful people tend to change the oil then when you have to pay for state inspection at mechanic. Only the folks with opposition disorders turn down the work.

The only problem is that 1 she is going to think it's going to keep on happening and 2 that engine has to be sludged out. Putting fresh oil in it is likely going to cause something to get clogged like filter screens and passages and because you were the only one who touched it in a very long time guess what you're getting blamed for it. You're going to get told to buy her a new engine because "you destroyed it when it was perfectly fine before" and if you don't you're going to be called a bad man for it. Honestly i would not suggest doing this. If you were in her position and she was in yours I bet she wouldn't do anything for you.

Financial loans and/or gifts are a slippery slope without clear terms. Helping someone out doesn’t automatically mean you get to dictate their life and finances in other aspects. But people often think it does unfortunately.

Imagine if your mortgage company was like, “Hey there, um so, I saw on FB that you went on vacation last week… well, how about some extra payments on that note instead next time…” How ridiculous would that be. Well, that is because there are clear terms on the expectations of the loan.

Help her out if you want to or if you feel called to, however you don’t get to dictate her behavior by proxy.

Hey man. I'm 6ft1 365lbs and I get disability on top of working pt. Schizophrenic and bi polar.

Go ahead and tell me how lazy I am.
You gotta have thick skin around here. Some people seem to have a better than attitude. Because, you know, they are perfect...
I am a recovering alcoholic and used to be homeless. I have learned that I only know a little; I have zero room to criticize.

Take care and take it easy. Good health!

My wife is an RN and right or wrong, they refer to CNAs as, well, you figure it out, but they work on the patient's backside and use a towel....

All you ever do is argue with me.

Now back to the topic at hand… “ you figure it out”…

If “ they” supposedly refer to CNAs as NURSES… Then “they” are not all that bright.

That’s giving a CNA a title aka LICENSE THEY DO NOT possess.

A “ supposed RN” should clearly understand the importance of the HUGE distinction between a CNA and a RN or LPN.

Because if a “ supposed RN “ doesn’t clearly understand the difference in scope of practice between a CNA and RN then it sets the CNA for being put in bad circumstances to where patients and their family members may expect them to do certain actions that they are NOT LICENSED to perform…

Because that sets up what I stated in my other post… What CNAs are not licensed or allowed to do.

I am a blanking RN man. And I don’t refer to CNAs as NURSES. And NO ONE I work with does that at my place of work… NO ONE. And NO ONE ever did that the hospital I worked at.

So…. Go argue with someone else about that….

99 percent of people with IN HOME care…

They are CNAs there…. I know I’m right about that.

Heck I worked for a home healthcare company.

The CNAs and LPNs tell me I am one of the very, very few RNs they see do CNA type work… And I’m a darn supervisor in fact.
