As a bigger person, I don’t fit particularly all that well in a Miata. I’d take a Mercedes over it for that fact alone.

I can agree with it not feeling near as "fast" as it is. Tons of torque tends to do that when you don't also have a huge top end. The new turbo Mazda 3 just slaughtered a WRX from a roll though in the latest online comparo video, which proves that "it gets it done".
As to convertibles. I hate them. Body flex is the real compromise, no thanks.
I used the full potential of my E55 all the time. Passing, merging on on ramps, getting out of the way making a right turn on red, etc. You can fully utilize a hellcat redeye doing normal things on the street.

What you find fun someone else might not. Around here roads are mostly straight and flat, I would get far more enjoyment out of a Hellcat than I would a Miata. Even if I lived in a area with curvy/mountainous roads, I’d still take a Hellcat or AMG over a Miata.
Yes. I hate flexy cars. Was my main complaint about my c6 z06 in the dynamics department. Flexy. Convertible? Not a fan. It flexes more and has horrible aerodynamics.
How is traction from a dig, tc off?
It's a Elantra GT totally different car then a normal Elantra.

I disagree with the new generation Camry being appliances. It’s no race car, but to me there is night and day difference in driving feel between my wife’s 2015 Camry and a basic new gen Camry LE I rented. I also recall reading an popular auto-rag article expressing surprise at the driving dynamics of the base LE model.
I like my Lincoln because it makes V8 noises. Most pleasing engine note available.

The body shop web site states that my Soul will be ready on Thanksgiving afternoon. I'm about half way through my rental period and I'm better acclimated to the seats by now, guess it was just getting used to a car rather than an SUV. Like all the new technology, doesn't even bother me when it chirps when I get near the lane markers. Still an appliance but not unpleasant by any means. If they cost the same as an Optima or Sonata and I was going back to a midsize sedan it might be on my list. I'm sure it's durable.
Very impressive gas mileage. Instrument panel (which I'm sure is optimistic) states 32+ mpg. That's around town.
Total passenger space for the Camry is listed at 100.4 cu..feet about equal to my '17 Soul which is 101. Certainly a lot more length, barely fits in my garage.
