What are the advantages to having alot of Molybdenum Disulfide. I see Amsoil ASL 5w30 has low moly vs Royal Purple 5w30 or even Valvoline Synpower.

Does it make a break a oil.

You will find zero molybdenum disulfide an any oil. Zero. They may have different soluble moly compounds, but never any MoS2.

Soluble moly can do very well in engine oil, but it is only part of the puzzle. Look at any oil's total performance, never just one part.

Moly is counter-indicated with other some additives. I'm trying to remember, but you rarely see Moly+Mg or Moly+Boron...iirc.
