Oil selection in WalMart

AAP got easy acces, always empty parking lot when you can find space right next to the entrance door, unlike Walmart when you forced to park far away

If that was the case, I should see less "large" people at Walmart

I'd like to see a better ATF selection. If you want to buy anything in quantity it seems there is only enough Supertech ATF to accomplish anything.

I'd also like to see a complete line of ShellFormula oils (including semi-synthetic and full synthetic and 5 quart jugs) and ATF's at Walmart too.

The more Walmarts that arise -- the less middle class American taxpayer exists. Sad but true.

I'm guessing you don't mean because I'm saving so much money now I'm high class?

Nah...they always have those motorized go-karts at Walmart for them.

I went looking for 5W-20 oil today for my car. Wal-Mart only had Mobil 1 synthetic for just under $6/qt. I check Kragen and they had none, and Autozone had the same oil for $0.15 more and also had Castrol Syntec Blend at $2.49/qt and Syntec at $4.49/qt. I ended up buying the Syntec Blend.

The Gilroy, CA Walmart sometimes has a great oil selection and sometimes not. Often the automotive department is a mess. Mostly I find that I can get better pricing by taking advantage of sales at NAPA or Kragen.

I don't think that the real auto parts stores have much to fear from Walmart, but perhaps the PepBoys & Kragen chains could be loosing some business to them. Kragen in particular pushes Fram filters and at much higher prices than Walmart, and PepBoys seems to focus on installed sales of house brand tires and the like more than anything else.

The real auto parts stores have plenty to fear, but Walmart isn't their real threat.

Go to Wal-Mart to pick up the 5 quart containers of oil and other items. O'Reilly Auto Parts for the Wix oil filter and go home and change both.
