Hey guys, I have a 1995 chevy s10 with a 2.2 liter motor, I drive a minimum of 70 miles a day in Texas. The clock says 280k but I think the engine only has 100k on it. I drive it fairly hard. For the past few oil changes I have used whatever full synthetic high mileage oil that Orilley's has on sale. Would someone mind recommending me an oil and filter brand to go with? Also interval between changes would be cool.
Thanks in advance!

IMO, keep doing whatever you are doing.
You should be fine.

I know, I don't think this is something you want to hear.

Based on what you have said, it's hard to argue with the first reply. What intervals are you doing now? How much do you typically add between OCIs?

My dads 99' S10 has the 2.2 4cyl and for the past couple of years I've been running it on Formula Shell Conventional 10W30.
Hasn't missed a beat.
I say keep doing what your doing.

I try to change it every 3k but honestly I don't really pay attention to my mileage. I tend to do it every 2.5-3 months. I never have to add anything between oil changes. Guess I'm just being paranoid lol. I'm gonna keep doing what Im doing. Thanks for all the replies!
