This car is pretty new in the US but I thought I'd try anyway.

Anyone own one of these have a recommendation for oil?

I'm likely gonna try Penzoil Platinum 5W20

Thanks

That will do fine. Any 5w20 will do at least 4k in that car unless you race it, which will be hard to do. You have to get a downhill start in those things. PP will probably do 7500 without blinking.

Platinum would be good enough I would feel comfortable going all the way until the Maintenance Minder says the oil is done, which is probably in the 8000 mile range.

Any good syn would be.

In your relatively temperate climate, a dino 5w-20 would probably be ok, too... though I'd probably get itchy at 5000 miles.

Haven't owned an L-series, but a D17, F23 and K24 and they've all been very easy on oil.

I've done 2 oil changes on mine, both at about 6500 miles which is 20% on my minder. First time was GTX, second was regular PYB. Didn't notice any difference either time. Pure One filter makes me have no worries. I've always changed at 3-5k before on other cars, but I figure with me changing early on the MM that I'll be just fine with normal driving habits. The oil analysis on here makes me trust in Honda.
