OIL Recommendation 2024 Golf R

Just Started going down the Rabbit hole on oil choices. Looking for recommendations on what oil to utilize for the Mk8 Golf R. Currently dumped the factory Fill at 5k and went with Euro Lx 0w30.

Car specs a 0w30 and 504 requirement, would the Mobil 0w30 esp be a better choice or any other recommendations?

Any oil with both the 504 vand MB 229.52 will be a very good choice. Here most are a 0w-30 oil.

ESP 5w-30 is worth a look, although the 0w is easier to find and can be had cheaper usually.

Mobil1 ESP 5W30. Local Auto ZOne or AAP have it for $37 for 5qt.

I actually (last week) went with Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30 replacing Pennzoil Euro LX in Sportage and noticed differences, haven't used Mobil products in many years.
Cold starts seem to be quicker and smoother and quieter. Interesting observation I made - transmission shifts seem to be smoother. Gas consumption went up a tiny bit.

ESP 0w30 is at Walmart for $27. Or FCP euro and ECS tuning do lifetime replacement, you could also do other things for the R while shopping there.

This. Except you WILL end up spending a ton on other stuff for the R . I get my free via LRG Mann filters by the dozen at FCP though.
