I went into my local Walmart tonite to peak around, I was astounded to see that the prices on the oils had gone up again! Most brands over $1.00 upon the increases we've seen already. BaseStock prices are not up significantly but finished stock and additives are through the roof. I hear there is another 8-10% increase coming. I am sorry I am just mad!!!! I Make the same money I made 12 years ago but the prices of EVERYTHING are going up. What is a guy to do?? If we have so much Natural gas why don't we build some GTL Refineries? Makes me think they don't want to.

Yesterday Ben Bernanke told Congress he planned to print even more money than they have already. Grab a life vest in case you get thrown overboard.

I went to Canadian Tire tonight and the prices for oil are outrageous! Most of the synthetics are $12 to $13 a liter now. Surprisingly, two of the cheapest synthetics there were Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 and Mobil 1 0w20, both of them just under $11. (I'll stick with Toyota 0w20 at under $6 a liter thank you very much!)

do they still sell the delo 400 diesel oil for 10.50/gal? I looked I looked at autzone the other day and it was 16.99/gal? Just 6 months ago it was 12.99 at autozone.

Yeah, I see [censored] Tire has Pennzoil conventional on sale for $17... What a deal... My local TSC store had Pennzoil conventional for $12/4.4L so I bought a couple for the summer.

Price is several dollars a 5 quart jug, up from when I last priced oil 8 months ago.

It's really unfortunate. Food is also rising.
I'm a big history buff... and this isn't good.

It don't think that matters anymore...

Nope, hence why I'm waiting on big ticket items....

I see SynPower still $25 for 5 quarts in Walmart. Just ordered a 5-qt jug of MaxLife syn for $25 online as well.

Oh, almost forgot: "Haha". I feel so cool now.

Rising costs aren't good ,but perhaps we'll all get to use our oil to it's fullest capacity instead of short OCI'ing like alot of us tend to do.

Under the old method of measuring inflation it is 9% in the US. I can believe it. I bought some groceries at Walmart last night and it was a real eye opener.

It's called "CHANGE we can believe in".

The one positive is that many people will extend OCIs to
levels that are easily attainable by todays oils.
Since coming to BITOG I've gotten away from 3000 mile OCIs.
5K is the new 3K.

I thought I saw it at O'Reilly's the other day for about $10 a gallon.
