I never said an oil soaked THROTTLE BODY was normal. What I said was oil residue in the intake manifold and plenum is normal. Any wet oily mess in the throttlebody and plastics is NOT NORMAL. You should have a coating in the intakes similiar to the pictures provided by the poster and that is normal oil residue. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.
I recommended that the poster do the leaky gaskets as well as the induction cleaning since there is a problem with EXCESSIVE deposits. The pcv should have been changed since the gaskets were replaced. This would have been documented on the tech sheets at the dealer. I would then check for a similiar problem prior to the next OCI.
If you look at the pictures of the intake there is no wet oil outside the chamber which would happen at removal since the intake is pulled off face down and flipped on its side. Of course we don't know if these surfaces were cleaned prior to the pictures taken.
