Exactly. My Audi didn't even fluctuate that much from the worst winter temperature to the hottest summer temperature, with its huge, thermostatically controlled oil cooler. 15w40 isn't going to hurt an engine in an Arizona summer, nor will a 0w-20, assuming that either are suitable viscosities in the first place.

The Toyota is not hard on oil, you can use the recommendation by the manufacturer or if you want you can do 5w30 and still have no problem. That new Honda I would use what Honda states on the cap or in the manual. BTW is that the engine that uses 0w-16? I know the new Toyota's use the 16 weight oil but I don't know much about your Honda.

Yep. Engines aren't all that sensitive, within reason. If it's suitable for the climate and application, it'll be just fine. Generally speaking, keep the 0w-20 or 0w-16 away from a Cummins and don't try cold starts in February here with SAE 30, and you're pretty much in the ballpark.
