Why would M1 leak less?
It must have something to do with the seal swell agents that are different between Amsoil and other oils. Amsoil denies it as a possibility, but I saw it with 3 different dodge/jeep cars/trucks. My 98 Ram 318 was only 5k miles old when I switched to amsoil. rear main seal started leaking. switched to M1 - no leak. just to verify, I switched back and forth again. same story on a dodge 2.2L. same on a 95 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0L. actually had the dealer replace the rear main seal (under 10k miles) and no problem after that. I have had no problems with anything newer. (mostly LH's)
