Hi

Is there anything in particular to think about when choosing oil for a flexifuel bioethanol engine? Up until now it has run on what the Saab dealer uses = Mobil1 0W-30 or 40.

Do I have any reason to use any other oil?, or should I just stick with this stuff?

Car is a 2006 Saab 9-5 2,0t BioPower.

It has half the OCI of the normal only-gas-version and has no real advantages in fuel economy, but the engine gets 30 extra HP on E85 and those are hard to live without :D

Hi there,
I've a 2004 9-5 Aero and I use Mobil Delvac 1 5w40. The car really likes that oil and it runs a lot smoother than my previous oil (brasilian Lubrax 5w40). Our engines are very hard on the oil, because of the small sump and the turbo, so a strong diesel oil is a good option.
