The car has a external oil cooler, bearing clearance are the same as factory. The turbo is oil and water cooled so theres really no reason to let the car cool off before shutting it off.

You want to let the turbo cool off. If you are out driving with boost, lots of heat from that turbo and its still spinning quite fast.. Rule of thumb with any turbo, is to let it sit for at least 30 seconds after spirited driving.

As for what oil. I think redline or Motul 300v would be suited for you, especially for your short oil change interval.

30 Seconds or Minutes?

My 1986 Z31 turbo owner`s manual said to let it idle for 30 sec after extended fast/hard driving before shutdown.

Motul 300V...choose a grade that suites your temperature requirements.

If you have been giving the car stick I would suggest turning the aircon on (gets the fan blowing) and let the car idle for at least a minute...I have seen turbos glowing cherry red for minutes after full runs...really bad news for oil if you switch off then.
