2. Removed the word value
3. Switched headings to put cost first then performance "Cost Of Use & Performance"

You're right. I've tried to find info but it is not there with the same amount given from the manufacturers.

Thank you!Splitting hairs ... @20u is close enough since 20.000000001 is basically 20.Either way, it basically means the same thing to filter nerds, but "greater than" 20u is actually the way ISO 4548-12 describes it and probably more "accurate".
Additional cleanup of column headings. The recommendations have made it easier to read . . . thank you.

The filters chosen are the brand of the manufacturer that have a website with product specifications and information on construction. Others can be added if the specs are available. If you have a filter you'd like added please share a link to a site and I'll add it.
To make the comparisons consistent could you share a site that has the SuperTech filter specifications and construction and I'll add it. Thank you!

STP oil filters. Seems to be an absence of comment on the quality of this brand on this forum. Appear to be made by Champion, but not sure if Champion makes some of the more popular brand(s). Anybody?
Reason I ask is there are frequent deals that bundle 5-quart containers of various motor oils (Valvoline, Mobil 1) plus an STP filter to fit your vehicle. Hard to overlook, given the inflated oil pricing these days.

I don't know how long they've been marketing oil filters but I know they've been marketing their oil additives for a long time. One of their oil filters for my truck seems to have good specs (99%@20). I think Autozone or AdvanceAuto sells their oil filters so they are out there.
AZ's STP OFs have gone through different manufacturers. Started with Champ Labs, then moved to what looked to be Premium Guard in the XL, some China maker for blue can. Now they all appear to be back to Champ Labs made. The XL is most like the current Super Tech MP series with silicone adbv. Blue can most like the Super Tech ST series with nitrile adbv. In speculation, I'll go as far as saying Super Tech OF same as equivalent STP oil filters, but for significantly less cost. ST rated 99%@30um.
Champ Labs also makes majority ACDelco oil filters.
Thanks for the encouraging responses to STP oil filters. Have a cartridge filter ready to go in a late model German vehicle, so sounds like I should be fine. My cars/SUV all use cartridge filters located in the engine bay, easier to service, assuming reasonably accessible, while my motorcycle has a traditional cannister twist-off.

Just looked at the STP website. Interested to see what the filter options are for my vehicles. Surprised to find they don't even reference/acknowledge oil filters among their products. A bit ominous?
