As a person who ships hazardous waste from the states, and half of it goes to Canada. I'll just say Canada is a little more lax with the way they dispose of haz and non haz waste,

Yeah - they just ship it to Michigan. This was a big issue during our recent elections, and largest part of Stabenow's smear campaign against Bouchard.
