Engine is a 1ZZ-FE 1.8L. 4cyl. Is the oil filter a cartridge, or a traditional spin on? Thanks guys, for the help.

OK,now for the Purolator Pure One part nos.? PL 14476 is the shorter one? And PL 14477 is taller? (With the same specs and gasket sizes)? Can you confirm this? Help Please. I use Pure one Pl14477 (longer one) on my '08 corolla. Have a couple of 14476 on hand too.

Wal mart supertech 4967 is a decent filter for 5K intervals as well.

I picked up a Mobil 1 M-108 ( i think but not positive, will have to look) when I got the GC 0w30 deal they had at autozone a while back.

Amazon dot com used to have 2 pure one's for $5.88, basically bogo but I believe it has now gone up to around $10

I would use amsoil, M1, supertech, purolator, wix, etc... without worry.

Yes, there are 2 different toyota 4-cyl filters, which is basically a size difference.

the smaller 4cyl, 1ZZ, 1NZ, etc, takes the smaller filter. Larger 4cyl engines such as the 2AZ takes the larger filter.

I would take the larger filter, whether it is from Denso, Purolator (which is an alternate supplier for Toyota), etc.
