Oil dipstick on my dirty engine Hemi charger after 500 miles of Valvoline Restore and Protect

I'm still looking for the filter cut apart pictures and any updates from the OP. 😁

I'm also a fan of VRP so far, using in a couple vehicles.
I'm a fan of HPL and their EC30 and PCMO and use in a couple vehicles and will use more products from them as I can swing it.

Quaker State I used for many years and gets good reviews and UOA's for the QSUD (I think now QSUP).
PP, M1 varieties, PP Euro L are all on my find a good price/clearance use accordingly list.
I didn't get a chance to cut open the filter with the original fill of R&P in it, but it has a fill of R&P now with about 4k on it that I will cut open and post eventually.

Part numbers in the second link. Available at certified Cummins dealers. Three one gallon jugs are the smallest quantity available.
Stopped by my Cummins dealer and tried to buy some Valvoline Premium Blue Restore "GEN2". They didn't know anything about it. I even gave them the part#.

They did have 11 gals of VPB Restore (Gen1) in stock, part# C87377, and available 1 gal at a time for $79.76ea.

I’ve heard others had the same problem. Funny because it’s a Cummins TSB. I’ll take gen 1 any day!!

I've heard the original VPBR can clean quite aggressively so maybe keep some spare filters on hand for frequent replacement. I'd personally do every 1000 miles/kms if it looks to be cleaning aggressively.

In the past 2 yrs I've run a 25% mix of it in 3 of my daily drivers and posted the UOA results here and C&P the oil filters and posted pics of them too.
