Oil compatibility questions for bitog brains trust

Hi all another question in 2 days who'd have thought oil could cause so much confusion

My stepsons Australian ranger which uses a 3.2 liter 5 cylinder diesel engine type P5AT has had an oil pump failure due to neglect

I'm trying to sort the issues and have plenty of oil in storage and wanted to see if it was compatible for use in this vehicle to save money something he's short on at the moment
The ford recommendation is M2C950A or M2C913D the oil I have is taken from its label reads
10W40 API SN ILSAC GF-5
MEETS OR EXCEEDS
ACEA A3/B3, Ford, GM, PSA, BMW, VW, Lexus, Nissan, AUDI and Mercedes

I have searched hi and low to see if this oil is compatible and have gotten nowhere and thought my last question re oils was answered succinctly by the bitog brains trust I thought why not ask again

The ranger has no DPF filter as it's a 2012 model and DPF filters where only mandated here in Australia till 2014 for these types of vehicles it's also got a EGR delete as it's in the country where specialist oils are hard to find hence poor service record it's also very warm here winter is 21 celcious daytime and 40 + summer if that helps

You're using it in a diesel engine that is of fairly large size for a passenger vehicle. The ACEA B3 specification is a diesel specification (rather old one at that) but it is diesel specific.

The oil you have on hand does state ACEA B3 in the fine print. I would think you should have no trouble using the oil that you have on hand.

Honestly it would be fine if changed a bit more regularly. It's an older spec but same as the engine. The 3.2 was released in like 2007 if I'm not mistaken. They sell those 3.2l diesel rangers in Mexico too and I've ridden in one, they're pretty nice. And Mexican market motor oil is on the same boat as Australia, more expensive while having terrible options compared to the US. But those diesel engines down in Mexico still last several hundred thousand kilometers on below spec oil since it's changed frequently.

Thanks guy's I knew i could count on info on bitog. I noticed the acea b4 rating and wasn't sure
I'm going to do a flush first got a good quality flush then had planned to do another oil change at 5000 and by then what I've got should be all gone and get a correct specification and engine should be fine
