Applies to diesel and gas. The Infineum powerpoint presentation shows data from a pair of VW GTIs with the 1.8L turbo gas motor.

I thought one of the first links detected the issue in diesel using bio fuel IIRC?

Then this is a much bigger issue for anyone in cold climate.

How do you determine what VII additives are used in various oils?

One might consider testing used oil in freezer.
