Currently in my crankcase is SuperTech 5w30 SM and one bottle of Auto-RX. Filter is a Nissan OEM "shorty" filter. I have some Pennzoil Conventional 10w40 SN waiting in the garage, along with a Purolator PL14610. Since Florida's searing heat is rapidly approaching, and I've read that the VQ35 engines shear oil out of grade quickly, I think 10W-40 is an appropriate choice. My manual says 10w30 and 10W-40 may be used if ambient temperatures are above freezing. Car is spec'd for 5w30 and currently has a slow rear main seal leak which has an almost negligible effect on oil consumption, and does not consume an appreciable amount of oil otherwise. I will change the oil at 123,489 miles (~575 miles from now). Current fill will have a 3k mile run at that point. I have not done any used oil analysis previously.
