Oil Change hot or cold?

the problem is it may 'clean' a path on it's way down (debatable), but it will only be a small path, not worth wasting clean oil

They aren't miracle fluid which defy the laws of physics. Even 0W synthetics are much thicker when cold.

Even more oil has flowed down by the time the engine cools off.

No I'll still change it hot, maybe extend the drain time to a solid hour vs about an hour.
 
I quit draining when it goes from a stream to drips. Another reasons not to over extend ocis is the residule quart.
 
I remember hearing some where that its not good to toqure anything hot and my oil cap is harder to get off when its hot

I just usally change when its cold just wake up go drain early in the moring so all the oil has drained down
