Do you guys prefer to change your oil hot or cold and why? I'm used to changing it hot. I've done it this way because I was taught that way. but now that I think about it, you may get more old oil volume out when it has cooled and drained out of the engine.

I drive the car until the temp gauge is in its normal position, get it up the ramps and drain the oil. Or I'll do some errands with the car drive it up the ramps and drop the oil. I never change oil cold.

Although I drain it warm/hot, I've never seen any evidence that says it drains better or more complete than draining it cold, just speculation. I just like the hot oil running down my arm when taking off the filter :)
