LOL, I know that. You are implying that 5W40 oils have higher HTHS.
So please, do shed that theory with us and some examples.

You say no? This forum is funny and sad, like the clown.

OK and? What does that mean?
KV100 is 15.4, so HTHS of 4.2cp is nothing surprising. It is also HD oil.
However, you said 5W40 compared to 0W40 has higher HTHS, so where is comparable 0W40 so we can see? Is there Chevron HD oil 0W40?
On another note, you read something today and you think you immediately know everything. I would be bit less confident.

DOn't question Audi Junkie. He's been banned before because he knows everything.

No it isn't. VW 502 00 is still current and attainable.

Also there is an oft-ignored caveat that comes with the Lubrizol spec comparison tool, which goes along the lines "only specs within the same category can be compared - you can not compared specs from different sources" or words to that effect. By all means compares ACEA A3/B4 to C3 or VW 502 00 to 504 00 but you can't compare VW with MB with any confidence.

That "comparison tool" is a PR-toy.
You forgot it?

edyvw, not sure if you saw this recent UOA of the 504/507 M1 ESP 0W30 on a run of just over 5k miles. TBN was 3.7

Need know starting TBN and starting TAN. In addition constantly switching brands/formulations will mess up your results, plus your engine is just broken in so you can take your previous UOA's with a grain of salt. UOA's are for trending, not for showing "which is best".

That is really good retention. I am wondering is sulfur level in Ontario lower than US or same? But that is good to know. I have 6qt of Castrol 0W30 for Tiguan. AFter that I might try M1 ESP 0W30 or 5W30 and do UOA. My EA888 is first gen. so maybe it won't hold that good, but who knows.
