Phone deleted my first write up so this will be brief. 😡. Okay, user error. 😮

This OG Ultra was on my lawn tractor two seasons. I was surprised to find rust around the base plate. It was under a bunch of crud I rubbed off. Rest of filter was great as you would expect from an OG Ultra.

I also use an xg3614 on my zero turn Kohler motor that I recently replaced after 4 mowing seasons or approx 100hrs. My filter housing did not look rusty when I installed it or after I replaced it. I don’t mow in the rain and the zero turn is shed garaged.

Looks like oil residue at the base seam, it's obviously shiny liquid around the base seam. Wipe it clean for the real inspection.

Can looks like it's started some minor rusting. The filter itself looks excellent & the oil appears clean. You put a few more hours on than I do in two years time. I might put on 15-17 hours a year but I mow heavy, not frequent. We'll wait another two years for the Ecogard chop. Good pics.
