Official Stealership Definition

There's a high level of embellishment and editing for these shows. It's just entertainment. I don't know that you should take away that this is true or actually happened.

It happens all the time
Nothing new. The defendant came off as a total crook and manufactured paperwork during the recess... it's a gamble but not one I would take with an old BMW

Her new show is even worse in this regard. Some of the cases that I saw were so ridiculous that I'm surprised they made the cut to even go before a judge.

Someone wanna give us a TLDR?
Plaintiff bought used BMW from Defendant
Plaintiff bought extended warranty from Defendant a few months after buying car
Six months later, Plaintiff had problem with the car and Defendant gave him the run-around]
Plaintiff wanted their money refunded for extended warranty
Defendant didn't refund money
Entered: The People's Court
Plaintiff stated his case and judge asked for a copy of the contract from Defendant, which they couldn't provide
Recessed so the Defendant could get a copy of the warranty
Defendant provided a copy and the judge called the warranty company who said they didn't have a contract on that vehicle
Defendant said they didn't send it in because the warranty company wanted an inspection and the Plaintiff didn't bring it in
Plaintiff never received copy of warranty or was told to bring it in
Judge got POed at Defendant and her judgement was for the total amount Plaintiff was seeking plus another $1000 punitive
Judge storms out
Interviews were conducted with Plaintiff and Defendant /TLDR

Thank you for saving me 12 minutes.

So in reality, we still don't know much more about these warranties - only that this particular dealer was crooked and didn't even buy the warranty.

Who comes to court without proof.
Many actually do but the defendant was a mealy mouthed liar...his expressions gave him away...
The plaintiff didn't even sign the warranty contract.

My friend had that happen with his car. Dealership never sent the warranty paperwork in, bought when he bought the car. Warranty company filed for bankruptcy but still selling policies. He called to check status and they had nothing listed. He went to dealership as he was having problems but he had his copy of paperwork. They had his warranty stuff attached to file in records.

Dealership at least made good on it but it was on the hook for about $10k IIRC between transmission and motor work.

I have to believe most of these things are rigged, or manipulated.

Its more like Jerry Springer than any kind of court.
Yeah you guys always mention that...instead of commenting on the video.
Go to your local court house and it becomes bizarre real fast...totally unbelievable .
Truthfully did you even watch the video? Remember you're under oath

as mentioned, I did not watch the video because @rstcso was kind enough to spare me the pain.

My wife is a public high school teacher - trust me no amount of stupidity by the general population surprises me anymore.

Having said that - I am sure all these people's court cases are either hand selected or manipulated.

Like the people who post here
Can you say cut off?

Please point out what statement I made that was not accurate?
It's improper to point in public

If you don't have the time to watch a video why bother commenting 🙄

A synopsis of the video is void of demeanor and facial expressions etc. That said its not required to watch it but I grow tired of the poo pooing here... if it doesn't interest you move on.

And to think i just bragged you up to @KCJeep this morning

Peace ✌️ ☮️

If you have 12 minutes you need to watch this People's Court episode.
It's about a car warranty purchased through the dealership.

The judge is a slick cookie 🍪
And I don't like the word Stealership, but here it's used correctly IMO

Just hearing that music kills me 🤣

I wasted so many hours of my life as a kid watching this show trying to understand what was even going on, I really just tuned in hoping to see Judge Wapner rip into someone. The interviews after court are the best ⚖️
