I'm glad you are still here, Pablo. Great (now former

I still remember back in '05 searching for a local AMSOIL dealer on the Internet and you were only a half-mile away!

I miss StevieC as well, although I still communicate with him via e-mail. As has been said, he is a class act and in just my own short time here, I have seen him go above and beyond to help anyone he could. A rare breed of individual.

I know he broke some rules, and was put on vacation as a result. But when you consider his total number of posts, (astronomical) compared to the relatively few controversial ones... and factor in his genuine interest in helping people here and making a real contribution to the community, I only hope at some point the admins decide the penance paid by his vacation has been sufficient and allow him back.

But that is my own opinion; it is their site and their decision solely.

Well said Spyder. I agree completely.

One more time: StevieC seems to me to be a genuine, self effacing, unselfish individual....like most Canadians

He has much to contribute to this forum.

I believe that Helen et al would impress many of us if they did reinstate StevieC one....more....time.

*If* StevieC chooses again to not follow the rules (and he of all people does know the rules) and is again removed from BITOG then not many of us would again rally on behalf of StevieC (at least not in regards to bringing him back to this oil forum).

Helen and moderators please reconsider just one....last....time.

Thank you.

And to set the record straight. ANYONE who gets a permanent ban here at BITOG KNOWS well before it happens and THEY DECIDED on what action the Admin/mod team took.

Plenty of warnings and time off to reflect for most people.

We do not take kindly to having to take such action. We value everyone but if a member can not follow the simple rules, then it happens.

I'll

myself for this post but I'm seeing a lot of posts that don't understand what it takes to be gone forever. Hope this clears it up and ENDS the discussion.

As always, any comments PM me.

I was searching for Volvo oil info, and noticed both ALS and Volvohead haven't posted since May 2010. They may not be "lost" but certainly are on a sabbatical.
