You confuse "need" with "want."It's called addiction, and I have the worst form of it, food addiction. Why is it the worst? Because you need food and it's always around. I'm back up to 209 lbs.![]()
Yer backYou confuse "need" with "want."
I thought the comment was diret and on point....and with a vengeance @Pablo.
The food you need to survive, and the food you want, are very, very different things. In quantity, type, and frequency.Do we not need to have access to food in order to live? @#18FAN ? This is not the case with other addictions.
Yes grasshopper this is the key to balance of life. The food you need to survive, and the food you want, are very, very different things. In quantity, type, and frequency.
If that were not the case, you would not have the problem.
Yes, however food can't be avoided, unlike alcohol, drugs, tobacco etc, which are not a part of my daily routine. The food you need to survive, and the food you want, are very, very different things. In quantity, type, and frequency.

I agree - and in that case, food is different than other addictions in that complete abstinence doesn’t work well.Yes, however food can't be avoided, unlike alcohol, drugs, tobacco etc, which are not a part of my daily routine.
Yes, you can avoid processed food and that means everything and anything in a fast food restaurant.Yes, however food can't be avoided, unlike alcohol, drugs, tobacco etc, which are not a part of my daily routine.
Yes but all are choices we make sure I want the bag of donuts but not my choice I'm gonna make had to start to think that way say 10 years ago going down a slippery slope eating garbage. I have changed an entire lifestyle down a near 100 lbs and won't go back and have lost friends sad to say over it.Do we not need to have access to food in order to live? @#18FAN ? All true and because it comes down to motivation, consistency, and self-control, or in one word, DISCIPLINE, it's a failing proposition for most people who struggle with their nutrition and weight. Everybody is their own worst enemy.Yes but all are choices we make sure I want the bag of donuts but not my choice I'm gonna make had to start to think that way say 10 years ago going down a slippery slope eating garbage. Im not to say now I'm some kind of saint I for one show and many see all the Craft Beer I drink and enjoy it it's my biggest downfall it's one thing I occasionally enjoy kind of a 90 10 rule.
I'm just saying you are not the first person down the same path and learning discipline is the only way because everyone runs out of motivation. Discipline could be I'm gonna get that walk, run, ride, swim or lift in even after 9hrs of work, I'm going to try get that 8hrs of sleep I'm gonna meal prep every day so i know exactly what's lunch so I don't have stupid idea of running to McDonalds. The discipline of consistency day in and out makes better choices in long run , which has worked for me. After a year or two it just becomes a lifestyle knowing it's what you fall back to even if you enjoy the other things occasionally.
Everybody is their own worst enemy.
That's called Projection and Anthropomorphism.Umm...did you see the way that pint of ice cream was looking at me? Begging to be eaten?
