Nope, your observation RE: felpro replacement for Honda (or to a larger extent: most imports) are indeed true: they only last around 1.5yrs before they start to leak (valve cover gasket I mean). This has been observed by yours-truely for over 15 yrs while dealing with aftermarket parts, and fel-pro is the worst in this particular regards.
If you plan on doing work with V/C cover off every 2yrs or so, then fel-pro maybe a cheep alternative for you; otherwise: stay with OE V/C gaskets for Mazda, Honda and Toyota.
