Where do the o-rings go (middle row)?

EDIT: Looks like the bottom of the spark plug tubes. See this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYU8qtPzQOY&feature=player_embedded

be careful, we put felpro kit on our 96 accord and the valve cover gasket sprung a leak. It could have been installer mistake (was doing it outside in the cold after a valve adjustment).

Replaced it with a honda gasket and no issues.

Nope, your observation RE: felpro replacement for Honda (or to a larger extent: most imports) are indeed true: they only last around 1.5yrs before they start to leak (valve cover gasket I mean). This has been observed by yours-truely for over 15 yrs while dealing with aftermarket parts, and fel-pro is the worst in this particular regards.

If you plan on doing work with V/C cover off every 2yrs or so, then fel-pro maybe a cheep alternative for you; otherwise: stay with OE V/C gaskets for Mazda, Honda and Toyota.

Q.

That's bad news.
I had to replace the spark plug tube gaskets on my '97 Accord, and used a Felpro set including VC gasket.
I also have to wonder whether this is the reason that I had recurring VC gasket problems on one of my '86 Civic.
I had always thought that Felpro was a quality brand.
Maybe not.

Interesting observations regarding Fel-pro Honda VC gaskets. The gasket seemed to fit will, and it had components made in Japan and Taiwan (VC seal was Japanese I think). Assuming the material is properly specified, and fit and installation is correct I don't see why it should prematurely fail? Maybe it's a cheaper material. And I wonder why they never specify any adhesive for the square corners.

ugh..O-rings
DT466E's enemy...

But back on topic..wired so many people are talking about them in a Accord. We have one and never done it..what are the signs leading to needing them?

Are you talking about the spark plug tube o-rings? If these are failing, oil will leak into the tubes where the spark plugs are.
