O/C question

Not sure I have this in the right section, mods feel free to move if warranted.

This may be a dumb question, but here goes:
As I understand it, some air filters can allow dust to contaminate the oil if it is not filtering properly, and will show silica in an oil analysis.

What about smoke? Western NC has been a couple of weeks of intense forest fires and the smoke is so heavy you can taste it. Some are riding with their lights on. I have never seen it like this.

I am due for an oil change and am concerned that this may be harmful in some way. What do you think?
 
Smoke is usually high amounts of carbon, CO2,CO. The French converted vehicle to run on smoke as the Germans had pretty well shorted them on gas in the WW1
