I bumped into a friend of mine today. He goes fishing out to sea and smokes his catch himself. He had smoked salmon for me. I ate one piece right there and then. Delicious.

I had to go to San Jose today. I had time in the afternoon and decided to drive up to the Lick Observatory. Mount Hamilton is always beautiful but now the vegetation is thriving. I ended up taking Mines Road all the way to Livermore. It's a really scenic drive.

Alternator bearing failure on the garden tractor I sold my brother. It got so hot the housing cracked. I helped him fix it with OE parts. Took an hr or so.

As is no warranty buddy!

Love that drive...done it several times myself when I lived in the valley. Did you stop by that bar shack across from the fire station? I think it was called the Junction or something like that...they have a large rattle snake skin over the front door and when I was living there...they had a great walnut topped cheese cake...out in the middle of nowhere!

I think the place was closed. Can't miss it because it's the only business far and wide. I will check it out next time.
