This time, I caught this photo while driving up (northbound) in I-75 just north of the now infamous exit 16 on I-75 in Valdosta, GA. It's a greenhouse, complete with the light-green mold, used to house the "heated indoor pool". The cheap camera on my phone doesn't do the color justice, but would you swim in a somewhat moldy greenhouse?

This heated pool is adjacent to the ma & pa hotel there. It's rather funny to see this feat of engineering.

"There's your heated pool, ma'am!"

Hey ToyotaNSaturn

Just passed by that very place last weekend. Both my wife and I have made the same exact comments you are making now. It suprised me when I saw the picture that I knew exactly where it's at.

We travel maybe once a month, from Gonzales, La. to Valdosta, Ga. Our Son In law is currently stationed at Moody AFB. We have a 3 year old granddaughter that we make every effort to visit.

First rake the surface!! Get the alligators out. Then lasso the dead floating critters. Cut the trees down, dredge for 2-3 days. Filter through 1" mesh first with progressively smaller mesh for 2-3 weeks, run through a diatomaceous earth filter for a couple days, aerate for 2-4 days, chlorinate - and take a refreshing tip!

Have you ever stayed there to enjoy the "heated pool" experience?

This place should become a landmark as it's probably the only greenhouse-pool for a motel in the country!

I am taken by the photographic limitations of the shutter/CMOS scanner on that camera phone. It reminds me of the old circular shutters on racetrack "photo finish" cameras that help exaggerate one direction of speed.

you'll notice the guard rails "leaning" even though they were probably installed by sober GDOT workers.
