Enjoyed a quick drive today with the beater, terrorizing the town with the open exhaust, rofl. Probably last good weekend to take it out. Going in the garage shortly for a mini "restoration" and rust repair this winter.

Sounds dumb, yes, but this car is kinda part of my teenage years...
You have made that into one of the best looking "beaters' that I have ever seen. (y)

Thanks Hemi!

It's more of a weekend toy than anything at this point. The car had been apart of my teenage years and somehow ended up in my driveway. Tried to sell it, but there seems to be a curse behind this car, so it looks like I'm stuck with it. Suspension is getting torn apart to redo it all plus cut out and repair the rockers and shock tower on the drivers side. Hope to sand it down and repaint it next year. Thinking the engine needs a head gasket set at this point, but that's to be expected knowing the history. It's not a collector car by any means, but it isn't something you see anymore. I get asked about it all the time when I stop at the store or the such.

Not to harp on it; but did you ever fix the cause of check engine light? Nice car overall 🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸

I enjoy a beer too when I have it but it makes me retain water and I don't care for that. Maybe I should try gin, it's made with juniper berries, a natural diuretic. I might smell like a hobo.
Mmmmm, gin. So many good ones out there. Nothing beats a good martini (made with gin NOT vodka), with a twist of lemon. Heaven!

No, but I know what to do to fix it. However I gotta pull the seat and carpet to get to the connector to replace the O2 sensor to fix it. The other code was the throttle body sensor which finally died completely and left the car pretty much dead. That was replaced and is running fine now.
