Rough day. I got carted around in company cars most of the day. I much prefer driving myself but that would have been uncouth. The light was so harsh that my phone camera rendered the outside scenery very bizarrely.
A picture from Boulder Creek, yesterday. The partially shown mural to the right depicts the old log flume from the mid-1870s. They were floating lumber downstream, initially augmented by transporting lumber by train. The flume became eventually obsolete. As far as I know, nothing remains of the flume today. Boulder Creek is in the Santa Cruz Mountains, near Felton and Ben Lomond, not far from Santa Cruz. This is a woodsy area in the mountains with many hiking and biking trails.
