NOS 12 year old 2.4L Oil Recommendation

So, I recently replaced the engine in my 2000 Nissan Altima with a low mile 2001 engine. Engine has approximately 5-10k miles on it.

Engine has sat in storage for awhile. Currently has Valvoline 5w30 conventional and Wix filter. Going to run that for 250-300 miles, and dump. Then I want to go with a good synthetic.

Manual calls for 5w30.

What would you all recommend? Obviously, if nothing fails, the engine will out last the car's body....probably on nearly any oil. But I'm a BITOG'er....and I want to run something good in her.

Sump is 3.6 quarts.

So far, I've been thinking about GC (12 quarts in stash now), a mix of 2 quarts Mobil 1 0w40 and 1.6 quart of Mazada 0w20 (6 quarts each in stash now), or maybe just Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w30.

Or perhaps just Valvoline 5w30 conventional at 4k OCI's?

Wanna hear what people recommend. Never been a Pennzoil fan...but I would consider.

I like Mobil 1 0W-30. I also like Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30. Your plans to run through your stash of various oils are also fine, if you don't have other plans for those lubes.

150 miles on the Valvoline 5w30 conventional should have any junk yard dirt in the oil.

This is the new diet she is on: Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w30, Purolator Synthetic filter, half can of MoS2, half bottle of LG Biotech, 1 oz. Lucas Break-In.

So, with a clean engine, and no way of plugging a filter, I was thinking of running a multiple long OCI's on the same filter.

I was thinking of 7-8k mile OCI's....since she only has a 3.6L sump with this oil you see above. Do you think it's safe to put 20-25k miles on this filter?

I just read a member on here, I won't say who, who said he put something like 24k miles on a Purolator Classic. Plus, filters always work better the longer they are run....until they fail. I know that's the issue. The filter could collapse or fail.

But this engine is sooooooooo clean, no way would the filter ever clog with dirt from the engine.

Everyone is hush-hush regarding my post. Not sure why....

I guess I was excited that I finally have an engine worthy of running some good oil in...an engine that is virtually new, one that I can spoil with good oil, and keep clean.

Maybe the additives I've added and showed in my pic is turning a lot of people off. I don't know. My reasoning behind it was....I always loved the stoutness of the additive packages of oils like Redline and M1 Racing, but didn't like the lack of TBN retention.

I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds here....a great TBN retaining oil with a high amount of AW.

I agree with an extended OCI on a filter, but not sure if 20-25k would be something I would be willing to do. You should be able to safely do 15k on a Puro Syn,

I'm not an expert on all this oil stuff, but trying to go 25,000 miles on the same filter seems to me about the same as seeing how far you can climb out on a tree limb before it snaps. How many miles did you usually go between filter changes on your old engine before you replaced with this new engine? Why'd you replace engine?

I stated above that I wanted the AW package of Redline or Mobil 1R, but the TBN retention of a 10k mile oil. Why do I want it? Because I think it's better than stock Mobil 1 0w30 at protecting my engine. Do I need it? Probably not.

If I'm willing to spend nearly $45 doing my own oil change that only requires 3.6 quarts, I'm gonna pass on the ST and 3k mile OCI's.

If the engine is basically new, I don't see how the oil filter could get clogged. It's should barely be catching anything. And with the wire mesh reinforcement, I doubt it will collapse either.
On my old engine, I just ran Valvoline Bulk 5w30 with VIOC's cheap filters for 3-5k mile OCI's. I had to replace the engine because my rotor spun on my distributor shaft about 90 degrees, and my car experienced cross-firing....destroying the engine.
