Got a Noco Jump Starter for Christmas and charged it up.

Yesterday we lost power for about 6 hours and the Noco came in handy to charge my cell phone and provide some light.

The network is on its own UPS but it was nice being able to sit on a chair with the Noco in my lap charging the cell phone while I was using it.

We did not get any significant amount of freezing rain to weigh down power lines. I blame NYSEG for doing a poor job of maintaining their infrastructure and trimming trees about power lines. We have a lot of dead trees along the sides of the country roads and no one seems to do anything until they fall. I brought up the issue at a town board meeting but the board said it was the property owners responsibility. That is until it rips down power lines or falls across the road.

Looks like a nice device.

I feel your pain with NYSEG. Only had them once out of the 3 places I've lived. Been fortunate enough to now have National Grid.

National grid has been terrible for me lately. I'm waiting for them to start cutting power ahead of a snow storm "just to be safe". Power goes out at least twice a week. I ended up buying a generator because our power goes out so often.

I gave my wife and kids each a NOCO jump starter last year.

My daughter has jump started two friends' cars with it.

Keep it charged up. It comes in handy...

Bought another brand and lost it. May have left it in a hotel room. Liked it enough to buy another branded unit from Costco which is in my glove compartment. May have to check after I get my next oil change. The original unit came in very handy when I had a fuse block failure in my Encore which caused the battery to repeatedly run down. Gave some to my girlfriend and kids. Starts cars, charges phones. What's not to like?

Yes, these Jump Starters can come in handy for things other than jump starting a vehicle. NICE!
