No Olympics in Chicago.

It is really a shame. The polls of residents didn't seem like they were very interested in paying for much in taxes either. It would have been good for the region including Milwaukee, and might have finally gotten some progress on improved rail transportation around here.
there have never been an Olympics in South America, i think it was probably their turn, kinda like RSA getting the World Cup next year.
meh.

Man just think of the millions that the Chicago "machine" could have siphoned off. What a huge opportunity lost for the community organizers of the world.
A lot of Illinois politicians are going to miss some big kickbacks.

Senator Burris is already a gold medalist in the blame games. I won't post a link but if one searches the news it's out there.
His term can't end too soon, and I'd say that regardless which party claims him.
