It is really a shame. The polls of residents didn't seem like they were very interested in paying for much in taxes either. It would have been good for the region including Milwaukee, and might have finally gotten some progress on improved rail transportation around here.
Man just think of the millions that the Chicago "machine" could have siphoned off. What a huge opportunity lost for the community organizers of the world.
It would go WAYYYYYYY over budget and who would be stuck with the cost? Guess.
Who would benefit from it and who would pay for it? Guess.
That is barely the tip of the iceberg.
