Please don't give up. I thought all the filter cutting postings were interesting.
I don't have any to post, because every filter I've got now is a cartridge, and they all looked just fine when I've pulled them out. The UOAs support the filter observations....or is it the other way around?

Look at how many people have seen your threads - they were all interested in your efforts. Compare that number with the number of negative comments - you've got your troll percentage right there...and it's pretty small...
For example, this thread has been seen by over 1200 folks...how many trolls so far?

I like to see well made filters and appreciate the time and effort needed.

You should continue to cut open filters if that's what you enjoy... If you like cutting them open, posting images, and hearing people's opinions, then it sounds like you're doing it for the right reasons.

Adam has even offered to cut open filters for the guys on here and post pics up. Myself included since I have a MC filter and a TG coming off soon.

Your cut and posts were very informative.
They showed that a lot of different oil filters are serviceable, from the cheapest jobber filter to the ultra mack daddy high dollar filter.
I can understand that this subforum with its "only one filter for all" bent could be frustrating.

Car51, I have truly enjoyed your C&P. I know how you feel about trolls. Almost every forum seems to have them, some more than others. I have used the ignore feature on several occasions. I normally do not comment too much but I do view every post that you do on filters. Thanks again.

Speaking of trolls, here's another one that came and went. I alerted the mods and the next day he wasn't found in the User List anymore. Poof, vanished just like that. He had that other member fooled towards the end of the thread.
