Quick Review:

I did a 3 pass shave with a Merkur 47C using an Astra Platinum that was two shaves old.

First off, the price of this stuff can't be beat. It is just over 4$ a tube.

The scent is amazing, strong at the pereferal of your senses but a bit hard to identify. Was very modern cologne smelling, very nice.

It hits a home run for lather and slickness, and left absolutely no irritation for a WTG, AcTG, finishing with AgTG. Even neck feels great.

This was an absolutely follicle splitting, irritation free, closest shave of my life.

When the shave was done, absolutely didn't need a balm. And the plesent smell seems to last nicely.

To sum it up, it was like shaving with a brand new laser blue BMW. Perfection in a tube.

Which leaves me with my final comment: It had very little character.

It was a perfect wife that can cook, is a great lover, and supports you while you stay home to hobby all day.

But, you'd get bored with that quickly (well I honestly don't think I would...).

Maybe a tube will jump to 12$ a tube next week? Can a deal like this really last??

For me, I am more of a Proraso or Williams guy.

But if Proraso or Williams had to fight Nivea in a ring, it would be like watching a robot beat up a couch potato. Nothing to bet on and no competition.

That is just what takes the fun away from this product.

Should they make a Sandalwood? Well, then, I would probably only buy this tubed shave cream. It would just take that for me to sell out.

A+++ product. Cheap. Easy to find.

I am still in disbelief.

It is just that it is too good.

Yes, Williams Mug, you are still the most fun.

And Proraso Sandalwood, well, that just smells amazing.

Pick up a few tubes of this stuff, heck, at that price, fill your trunk.

My experience with Nivea products has been good. Their shaving cream definitely will not irritate me even if I were to blade-buff all day long. I really like Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm. It has a very light smell, but I'm not sure if it's fragrance-free.

I will have to give it a try. I just went to a Merkur and the double edge world. I do like it! I have zero skill set for it but am learning. I am using Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandlewood and it's a man's cream for sure.

I find the shorty razor easier to use than the long, but I'm only like a week into it. I'm a in-shower shaver guy so I'm figuring out the right procedure.

IMO...Just a drop or two of Kiss-My-Face un-sented shave cream, from the pump, added to a puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat soap or a puck of Tabac will add great lather with a badger brush in a lather mug.

Mine as well, they make a very strong product line and I love their shave gel...

I think I bought 2 cans for $2 with a coupon at Rite Aid last week. They're lotions and shaving balms are also excellent...

So what do you use?

Aveeno Therepeutic Shave Gel has no added fragrance, but it does smell like oatmeal a little bit, since that's what it's made of. For those with sensitive skin, it's very good though.

When I was on military deployment, the on base store ran out of shave cream, for three months...

Ever see a guy shaving with Skintimate? (ladies leg shaving cream)

No, but I know a guy who uses Nair on his face.
